Text Formatting in Word Font Size

Continuing with the earlier topic on Fonts, this topic deals with Text Formatting in Word Font Size. In this Microsoft Word Tutorial, you will learn most of the Text Formatting features of MS Word.

To repeat again, as discussed earlier, this can be achieved in two ways. One method is to do the text formatting while we are typing the word, phrase or paragraph for which Font size needs to be changed. Second method is to do the formatting after we have finished typing the word, phrase or paragraph through text block.

In the first method, press the "Down Arrow" button on the right of the Font Size icon (as shown in Graphic-1) which will give you a drop down list of all available font sizes (as shown in Graphic-2). This icon can be found in the Formatting Toolbar. Select a Font Size from this list before starting to type the word, phrase or paragraph. The selected font size will be active till you change to another font size.

The second method is useful when you want to do the formatting (Font Size, in this topic) after the word, phrase or paragraph has already been typed. In this case, you will have to create a block of the word, phrase or paragraph and press the down arrow on the right of this icon (as shown in Graphic-1). With reference to Graphic-2, you may select the Font Size that you desire. You can refer to the topic Cut Copy Paste Delete in Word for creating a block of text.
